Steve was a gentle giant that was passionate, caring and communicative; he always looked at people for their positives not at their negatives. He loved his wife Emily, adored his three children Elizabeth, Claudia and Mathew and honored his parents so respectfully. We commented so often on how many strong friendships he developed and maintained in and out of the insurance and reinsurance industry. He would give anything for his family, friends and colleagues and was one of the most selfless individuals I have ever encountered in my life. His passion for sports and movies was unbridled and hopelessly optimistic. He gave hope to all of us Mets and Jets fans when the chips were down; well maybe next year.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who generously lent their support and participated in the 1st Annual Golf Outing in memory of Stephen Calascione. It was such a special and memorable day!
